Adromischus caryophyllaceus is a succulent plant from southern Africa that branches very easily with straight or slightly inclined stems of pale blue or greyish green to yellow-green. It can grow up to 35 centimeters tall when it is time to flower.
Each blade is three to four centimeters long by two wide. Normally, a brown coloration appears at the tips of these. The flowers are tubular, up to 2 centimeters long and with colors ranging from bright pink to purple.
It tolerates cool conditions as long as they are free of frost, so we will not expose it to temperatures below 2 degrees positive. We will generally water from spring until well into autumn, providing water every fortnight when it is warmer and once a month when temperatures begin to decrease. Wait for the substrate to dry completely before providing water again.
It is one of the easiest varieties to reproduce, since the succulent itself drops the leaves, which if we put them in direct contact with the substrate will be the way to create another specimen. On the contrary, if it does not release any blades, we will have to use a very sharp knife to cut the specimens we like the most.
