I present the Coleus Hadiensis also known by the scientific name of Plectranthus Hadiensis. It is a plant very easy to make live. Well, easy if you adapt it to the conditions you need. Practically, we just have to give it bright and indirect light, a well-drained substrate and water when the plant needs it.
If we want our succulent to prosper properly, we must try to give it the environment that is most similar to its native habitat, which is from tropical Africa to Somalia and the Arabian Peninsula. It is considered a shrubby plant, since it can be surprisingly 61 to 76 centimeters high, with flowers that can be lilac or white. We can appreciate the flowering in spring, late summer and early autumn.
As it is a specimen that does not need much irrigation, we will only provide water every one or two weeks, depending on the time in which we are and above all we must be aware that the surface layer of the substrate is dry before watering again. If we do not respect this, we will find that the roots will rot and the plant will die. Although it adapts to any environment, it will always appreciate more a space where humidity can be controlled, for example by having it inside the house next to a window where it can have at least six hours of direct sunlight.
To finish, I will tell you a curiosity about this plant: you can appreciate its light green leaves, small and soft hairs, but above all, if you smell it, you will feel a mixture of lemon and mint smell. With this note I will also tell you that the cosmetics industry takes advantage of this to make products related to beauty, since there are certain myths that say they can rejuvenate the skin.
I had been looking for the name of this specimen for a long time and I never found it, I always had different plants that were not what I was looking for, and I hope that this article can help someone to solve the same problem that I have had until today.
