Cacti Crassula Capitella Thyrsiflora

It is a crassula considered by believers to be a magnet to attract money to your home.

Here I present you a crassula of the most curious as well as beautiful. This is the Crassula Capitella Thyrsilora. It is native to South Africa and can be found by the synonyms or vulgar names of succulent millionaire or fire flame in reference to the red hues it acquires when the sun touches it.

If we look at it in detail, we will see that it has generally green and red leaves that end in tip. As I said before, this red coloration will get it directly from the sun, but everything will depend on the hours of the day that it has solar exposure. It should be noted that if you do not receive the hours of sun necessary to make the change of color of blade (that is, from green to red), they will be with a very lively and colorful green.

In southern California, it is widely used for landscaping where it is very popular in succulent collections.

If you want to reproduce it, you can do it by cuttings, either because you cut it or how it happened to me, manipulating the plant has broken an outbreak. It is important that you do it in summer, since it is the best time of the year to reproduce this specimen of Crassula.

In summer some spikes of each group of leaves appear and at the tips of these appear some tiny white flowers that are slightly aromatic.

Finally, they are plants that withstand drought very well, so before watering we will wait for the substrate to be completely dry. When we have made sure of this, you can follow the irrigation pattern that I give you below: In spring, once a month, in summer once every fortnight if the heat is very pronounced, otherwise also once a month, in autumn once a month also and when the cold begins, towards the end of autumn, stop providing completely water until the next season that begins to do a little heat and the temperature has stabilized.

It is not advisable to water in winter if it is a place where it is very cold for two reasons, one of which I think is quite obvious: one because it does not withstand temperatures below zero degrees. And the other because it is in winter, it is cold and the plant is resting and, therefore, it does not have the same functioning as it can have in spring or summer. I repeat it again, since it is a specimen that is very good for drought, you have to monitor the water you give it, you have to be careful not to water excessively because if you do not control this, it is the most direct way to kill the plant.
