Here is a genus that is not a cactus, but is considered crass because it has fleshy leaves and practically no spikes. It is Echeveria Elegans. It is commonly called alabaster rose after Mexican botanist Atanasio Echevarría. We can find it without many problems spread throughout Central America.
It is a crass plant suitable for covering small surfaces of flower beds or rocks. It is quite cold resistant, resisting up to four degrees negative, as long as it is not very persistent. It is ideal for coastal gardens and in large cities, as great tolerance for pollution. Like other cacti and crass plants, their growth is slow, so it should be noted that not many can be put together, because when they grow, certain difficulties may arise.
It supports drought and disease attacks very well, so the irrigation will be abundant while respecting the substrate as long as it is dry or moderately dry. In winter, reduce to a minimum or directly stop irrigation. One thing to bear in mind is that if irrigation periods are not respected, it can easily rot.
