Cactus Aloe Flow

It is very easy to reproduce thanks to the little plants that grow at the base.

The aloe species I am presenting to you today is a hybrid succulent. It is the Aloe Flow, born of crossing the Gasteria Verrucosa and the Aloe vera commune. One of his possible common names is Aloe Hybrid. As a genetically modified plant, it is not of any origin, but we could say that the succulent mother comes from South Africa.

Generally, they are not usually above thirty centimeters in height and we can almost say that it has no stem, at least not prominent and not very visible. The leaves are fleshy and triangular, light green in color, and one characteristic is that they are filled with white spikes (pots or warts) that are palpable without problems. We can see them both on the right and the reverse of the blade. The edges are slightly jagged.

As for flowers, they usually appear from the age of three (although they may occasionally appear before the age of three). Just from the center of the rosette rises a cylinder of about thirty centimeters and at the tip rises orange, tubular and hanging flowers on the wide and green side at the narrowest tip. When the stem of the flower has dried, we have to remove it.

Finally, the irrigation must be moderate during the hot season and in winter it must be totally suspended. When we water, we also have to be very careful that water don’t get stuck in the center, as this could lead to the appearance of fungi. Another aspect to remember is that it can easily be infected from the cottony mealybug.
