Form dense groupings creating numerous little plants.

Category:

Mammillaria Ginsa-maru, originally from Japan, is hybridized with Mammillaria Discolor. It is known as a coloured bisnaga (for the variety of colors of its yellow and red spikes) or Mamillaria cv. Ginsaumae.

It is a green-growing body globular cactus that can double in size within a year. It has ten radial spines and five longer, darker and curved central spines. It supports heat very well, requires direct sun and supports minimum temperatures up to five degrees negative.

It usually flowers between January and March, offering a crown of pink flowers on the outside and yellow flowers on the inside, thanks to the coloration of the pistils.

The irrigation must be abundant in spring and summer (once a week or once every fortnight depending on the heat it makes in the area where you are and leaving the land to dry) and between autumn and winter stop irrigating completely.
